Oracle ERP Business Analyst

Role Overview

Global Pragmatic Solutions is seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Oracle ERP Business Analyst to join our consulting practice. In this role, you will act as the vital link between our clients’ business requirements and our technical execution teams. You will be responsible for optimizing business processes within the Oracle ecosystem (E-Business Suite and Fusion Cloud) while identifying opportunities to leverage AI and Cloud automation.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Requirement Engineering: Lead workshops to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements across Finance, SCM, or HCM modules.
  2. Functional Design: Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, ensuring alignment with Oracle best practices and “Out-of-the-Box” functionality.
  3. Solution Gap Analysis: Identify gaps between business needs and standard Oracle Cloud/EBS features; propose pragmatic customizations or third-party integrations where necessary.
  4. Process Optimization: Re-engineer existing business workflows to maximize the ROI of Cloud migrations and AI-driven enhancements.
  5. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to bridge communication between C-suite stakeholders and technical developers.
  6. Testing & Quality Assurance: Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and develop comprehensive test scripts to ensure seamless deployments.


Technical Qualifications

  1. Oracle Proficiency: Minimum 3–5 years of experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) or Oracle Fusion Cloud (Financials, Supply Chain, or Projects).
  2. Cloud Expertise: Solid understanding of SaaS/PaaS models and the lifecycle of Cloud implementation.
  3. Analytical Tools: Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting; familiarity with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or OTBI is a plus.
  4. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.


Preferred Skills

  1. Experience in EBS to Cloud migration projects.
  2. Familiarity with AI/ML applications within ERP systems (e.g., automated invoice processing or predictive forecasting).
  3. Oracle Cloud Certifications.
